PERSEPHONE'S PERSONA

Written by and starring the otherworldly Gaia Mondadori, Persephone’s Persona is an original short-film following an actor’s struggle to embody the role of the mythic Persephone. Explored through the lens of the Jungian shadow-self, ego and persona. Surreal and folkloric tones are merged in a real-world setting, inviting a vivid blurring of imagination and reality, where the power-play of shadow and self is embodied in a battle between light and dark. Chloe was Persephone's Persona Director of Photography and editor.

Persephone's Persona premiered at the Preston Filmmaking Society in 2021 and featured at the Cambridge Shorts Film Festival in 2022.

FORGOTTEN IN SPACE

Forgotten in Space is a short non fiction film that Chloe directed, edited and shot in the heights of lockdown 2020. This film explores the official NASA Voyager recordings of our solar system’s orchestral cacophony.

"I lost myself to the sound of Neptune, fell asleep to the sound of Uranus, fallen victim to Saturn’s narcoleptic screams, mediated to the sound of Jupiter, celebrated survival with Mars, grounded by Gaia, recovered from rage hangovers with Venus and commuted with Mercury. Thrown into the unknown, I asked myself, how would it feel to explore space and be utterly forgotten about here on earth?"

Forgotten in Space headlined at the 2022 Queens Art Festival 'Lost But Not At Sea' and is now featured in Gallerie V's autumn exhibition 'Mythologies, Monochrome, and Chiaroscuro' that is exhibiting from October 8th until December 14th 2023.

SUBJECT/OBJECT
